At the Village of Bedford Park (VoBP), we are committed to keeping your information private. To that end, we will describe our privacy practices. This policy describes the information we collect, how it is used and shared, and your choices regarding this information.

Summary

Our Privacy policy applies to any users of our services – including any users of the Connect2Work (C2W) app, websites, features or other services – and to the users of the services of VoBP or its affiliates, and to anyone else who contacts VoBP or otherwise submits information to VoBP, unless noted below. This includes: (a) request or receive transportation (riders); (b) provide transportation individually or through partner transportation companies (driver partners); and (c) any other user of VoBP’ services (including apps and websites) and anyone else who contacts VoBP.

Data we collect

VoBP collects information:

  • That you provide us or submit to us when you create an account (which may include your name, business name, email, log information and password.
  • That you submit when requesting our services through our apps or website.
  • That you submit to C2W customer support.
  • That enables C2W to access your address book or calendar.
  • That is created in using our services, including location and usage.
  • That covers transaction details regarding the type of services used (including date and time to service, distance traveled).
  • That identifies the type of devices used to enable our services, such as hardware models, operating systems, software and mobile network information. When using the C2W app, VoBP also receives some information regarding calls and texts.

How we use your information

VoBP uses and collects information to provide our transportation services and to process payments. We also use the information for customary support, for research and develop and for trouble shooting software bugs, operational problems and testing and analysis. We may also use data collected to investigate or address claims and disputes or as otherwise permitted by applicable law. VoBP does not sell or share your personal information to third parties for third party direct marketing purposes.

Security

We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline. Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

Cookies

This helps us improve your access to our site and app and identify repeat visitors. VoBP retains your information while your account remains active unless you ask us to delete your account. In some instances, we may retain information collected after deletion in the event that there are unresolved issues – such as claims or disputes. VoBP may also retain certain information for legitimate business purposes, which may include fraud deterrent and enhancing user’s safety and security.

User Controls

VoBP provides users with the ability to view and control the information collected by using in-app privacy settings, device permissions. You can also access your information for edits and corrections.

Updates

We may occasionally date this policy. If we do, we will notify you of the changes through our website or the VoBP app. Upon such notice, you consent to put updates to this policy. We encourage you to periodically review this policy for the latest information on our privacy policies.
